Performers: Wayne Brady, Whoopi Goldberg, Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles

Comments: This ratings-geared "special guest star" episode aired on a Wednesday, following the third annual live episode of The Drew Carey Show. Unfortunately, Whoopi is not very entertaining in the games that made it to air. And though Wayne seems energized by Whoopi's presence, it's generally Ryan who succeeds in providing the real laughs--which is all the more interesting, because he and Colin are not as much in the spotlight in this episode.

Notable Quote: "I lick your stamps all the time." - Ryan in Scenes From A Hat

Hollywood Director: Colin is the director. Ryan as the evil, whip-wielding judge Frollo has cornered Whoopi as gypsy girl Esmerelda in the bell tower, and is forcing her to do a sensual dance for him; suddenly Wayne, as the hideously ugly Quasimodo, swings in to save her. The styles are TV evangelists, high-school cheerleaders, and New York insult comics.
Wayne and Ryan mutually crack up for a moment at an early point in this game, but that's as good as it gets. On the other hand, when you've seen Ryan play Quasimodo to Colin's Esmerelda, nothing measures up.

Song Styles: Wayne sings to Whoopi as Tina Turner.
Wayne does a fine job as far as it goes, but the suggestion of Tina Turner should be shelved for a while.

Dubbing: Colin is a brilliant French designer in love with his temperamental star, supermodel Whoopi; as she is practicing her catwalk routine backstage, her jealous photographer boyfriend Ryan bursts in. Wayne provides the dialogue for Whoopi.
Wayne uses an amazingly effeminate voice here, which is funny. Otherwise the whole thing is rather goofy.

Scenes From A Hat: The performers act out... bad things to do as you walk down the aisle at your wedding; if classic movies had nude scenes; if cartoon characters had adult conversations; what you don't want to see tattooed on your date; inappropriate times to use baby talk; inappropriate topics of conversation while meeting the Queen of England.
Something rather amazing happens here. Ryan makes Colin break into laughter, for a change, with a complaint about a broken truck and an accusation of an affair--all during a spot-on Scooby Doo impression that doesn't even stop with the buzzer. It's another case for my theory that Ryan has begun experimenting with Colin's style of the bizarre and unexpected. In fact, Ryan provides almost all the highlights in this game, which is easily the best of the episode; you'll never get him and Colin as baby-talking boxers out of your head. And Drew finally nails a camera with the hat...

Foreign Film Dub: Ryan and Colin translate for Drew and Whoopi, who act out "Soba Noodle For You" in Chinese.
A fair ending. Even though Drew and Whoopi tend to ramble on too long, Colin and Ryan still manage to get wacky, and throw in some great lines.

Credits: Wayne and Whoopi read, as two old women talking about who's hot at the retirement home.
